Before starting WBMV, Eric spent 10 years with The Coca-Cola Company in a variety of operational roles across the globe. Most recently he was a co-founder of their Social Business sustainability start-up, where he led the global operations and was presented with the Sustainable Green Business Innovation Award by the Vietnamese Minister of Finance and Environment in 2019 ... Prior to joining Coca-Cola Eric served in the US Army, last serving as a Brigade Commander in Kirkuk, Iraq. He also had multiple tours in the Pentagon serving on the Army Staff, Joint Staff and Secretary of Defense. During his 28-year army career he served across Africa, Asia and the Middle East. In 2011 Eric founded the Almost Home Foundation to assist combat-experienced military veterans and their families with a successful transition from military to civilian life. He has a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, a Masters in International Relations, and is a Distinguished Military Graduate from Kent State University, In 2017 he was awarded The Milton Hershey School Alumnus of The Year. Before co-founding WBMV, Lieutenant General (Ret.) Joe Martz was the President and CEO for Martz & Associates Consulting, LLC. Over a 36-year US Army career, Joe served in Germany, the United States, the Republic of Korea and Southwest Asia. His command and staff assignments through 2007 were in Armor/Cavalry units, leader development, training development... and change management. He is the only Army General Officer in a generation to have served successively in the Requirements, Programming (fiscal) and Budget processes. At the Army Capabilities Integration Center, he led Concepts Development, Experimentation and Requirements Integration. As the Director, Program Analysis and Evaluation (PA&E), he annually developed the ~$1T Army Future Years Defense Plan. Finally, as the Military Deputy for Budget to the Assistant Secretary of the Army for Financial Management and Comptroller, he was responsible for planning and executing the Army Budget (~$200B) from 2012-2014. Since July 2016, Joe has served as the Senior Observer / After Action Review Facilitator for the two annual ROK-US Combined Forces Command’s theater level exercises in the Republic of Korea. He also serves on the Advisory Board for American Corporate Partners, which supports transitioning Soldiers. Before starting WBMV Simon spent more than 20 years with The Coca-Cola Company in a variety of roles across North America, Europe, Africa and Asia. Most recently he was a co-founder of their Social Business sustainability start up where he created government, private sector and not for profit partnerships and was presented with the Sustainable Green Business Innovation Award by the ... Vietnamese. Minister of Finance and Environment in 2019. Prior to this, Simon held global marketing roles where he was responsible for leading portfolio strategy and innovation, and the Coca-Cola Zero brand worldwide. In addition to this he built global capability for the Coca-Cola Company, Bottlers and Agency partners by running Brand Strategy courses around the world. He has extensive field experience gained through time as a General Manager, and Regional Marketing roles in Eastern Europe, North Africa and SE Asia, where he managed multi-country teams and the full portfolio of brands. During his time in Egypt he was also Chair of the Marketing Committee of The American Chamber of Commerce from 2006 to 2008. A fluent French speaker, he earned his Bachelor of Arts with honors in Business Studies and French from Sheffield Hallam University, and a Diploma in Management Studies from Anglia Ruskin University. Prior to co-founding WBMV Sebastian successfully founded and ran his own communications company, Untold Communications LLC. Between 2006 and 2016, he worked for The Coca-Cola Company in a variety of roles, most notably as Communications Manager for the company’s Eurasia & Africa Group. In this role he was responsible for internal, executive, media, crisis and digital communications ... for 92 countries. During his tenure with Coca-Cola, Sebastian also held roles as Communications Lead for the Company’s flagship Social Business initiative, as Project Manager for Eurasia Group, and as Public Affairs and Communications Manager for Southern Eurasia. Sebastian began his professional career with the United Nations in 2001, holding various posts with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and the International Labor Office in Geneva, Switzerland, and Ankara, Turkey. While working for the United Nations, Sebastian co-authored one of the first authoritative books on sustainability within companies, titled ‘Raising the Bar’, which included a foreword by then UN Secretary General Kofi Annan. Mr. van der Vegt has an MBA from Dalhousie University in Halifax and an undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Calgary, Canada. He also has a diploma in Strategic Communications from Columbia University in New York, and speaks English, Dutch, Turkish, Portuguese and German. Read More
